That was mentioed in the thread where I asked for suggestions for a sub-$500 cdp. I saw it and went, "Holy ____, that's less than $500! Wow, that's what I'm getting!". Then I looked and saw the real price, but I still have the urge to save up and buy it.

Not really, I just have second-hand information. I'd email the company, but since I'm not ready to buy I don't think it's important.

It seems SHENCHEN CHINA-based SHANLING ELECTRONIC CO.,LTD doesn't try to make everything...,as for CD players,I've just heard SHANLING's 2 models before T100:, CD-S100 and CD-S24A/K.however, maybe you could tell, CD-S100 is currently the most popular and affordable CD player here.
wink.gif
and the sounding of CD-S24A/K is much better than Marantz CD-16,also with a incredibly cheap price...(I think the reasonable price depends on a reasonable manufacturing cost with no any quality expense!~) SHANLING got a quite right smart reputation in CD player manufacturing field here in China...and now, the new SHANLING CD-T100 get a gigantic resounding rapidly...HDCD player for radio TUBE model <~~TUBE~~~love it ...
wink.gif
>

....they tried to do something larruping, they wanted to give this player the best distinctive personality...
both looking&sounding...
...it seems they succeeded

anyway...It's just my choice...
...looks like not suitable with everybody...
just enjoy your own system~~
wink.gif

Best Regards to everybody here~~~

hey guys!

i saw one of these today. it was in a vintage tube parts shop (?!) in mong kok.

it was feeding a pair of vintage Quad II tube amps, couldnt tell what speakers it was driving. but the whole set up sounded pretty good.

and of course it looked cool.

dont think it was for sale as it looked like the "house" system.

kinda neat to see one in person.
