I picked up an H7 a few weeks ago and find that the sound quality and imaging is superior to my desktop setup (Fiio K7 + PL50). @Shanling , would it be possible to add a "desktop mode" feature that only charges the battery to 80% for those of us who want to keep this plugged in all the time as a desktop setup replacement?

Alternatively, could you make a desktop dac / amp with this same sound signature?

Hello all,

It really felt nice reading great reviews about the Shanling H7. From the inputs here, I assume that H7 will be a better device than Gryphon and Mojo2 - let me know if this is wrong. Is there any comparison I can make with the Earmen Angel? My local dealer is selling both, and I want to get an idea of how these two compare in terms of sound quality. Which of these resolves better and does not compromise the sound stage? Any input will be amazing.

We asked software team for some mode that would make it bit more suited for desktop use, but not certain at this time if there will be any change.

@Shanling when in synclink mode setup function cannot be accessed. Because of that equaliser is inaccessible.Add an eq option in the play screen also.

The EQ setting in the app is for the app, it would have no effect on the EQ on the device. So that's why it isn't accessible when synclink is enabled.

There is no EQ system on H7 itself. If you use any of its digital inputs, you can EQ on the source device.
