There was a pretty decent sized jolt followed by some rolling for a good 10-12 seconds in the Orange/Anaheim area. The epicenter was only about 10 miles from where I am. It was reported to be a 5.4.

The biggest one I've experienced in my life was the 1994 Northridge quake, which measured a 6.7 on the Richter scale.

Funny thing, my hamster was up and running in circles like crazy earlier today before the quake. She's normally not up at that time. I'll have to see if she does that again with other quakes.

Felt the first one then the aftershock. We are on the Ventura/Los Angeles county line approximately sixty miles from the epicenter. Thankfully nothing damaged. One of the better shakes since the Northridge one.

I'm in Torrance and i felt it this morning.Took a few seconds to realize that it was a quke.I just sat in my room and watched things kinda wiggle,As far as i know my cat wasn't even fazed but it.I heard on the news that it was felt as far away as las vegas

was in santa ana when it happened this morning. cell service was freaking out right after the quake, had a hard time trying to reach friends.

I took off out of Oakland about 30 minutes before. By the time I landed in Salt Lake, I had 6 voicemails from friends back east asking if I was in it.

That's pretty cool. Ours used to be up in the morning running around, hoping it'd get a chance to goto work with a family member. Lil guy really loved exploring new places.

Anyone from Chino Hills? They probably felt it really good, likely better than I did. Was shaking pretty well here, like not the rumbling feeling-- but actual shaking.
