I was thinking about purchasing the O2 and ODAC. I am debating between a separate O2 and ODAC or getting the one enclosure combo. The reason I would go separate is I can then use the O2 portably (or at least just move it around in my house), and I can't do that with the combo without moving around the AC adapter right? The reason I would go combo is if there was some sort of measurable signal degradation (sound quality loss) in having the separate devices and using a cable to connect them.

So my questions is, will there be any measurable sound quality loss with having the separate devices? Additionally, are there any other factors I should consider?

I don't see any quality loss, unless there's a bad cable somewhere.
Other than portability, I find that with the ODAC separate, I can connect it to any amp I want.
