Well, I got my pair when I reached headphoneous supremous and I've been burning them in since. Theyve been rumored to require a warm up time of 22 months and to reach their peak, they need to be continuously burned in with a $1000+ amp (the headphones give off a LOUD 5hz tone (yes they go that deep) if they see that the amp is not over $1000 (they also have eyes))

Is anything about this thread not a joke? Is there anything official that says that the next phones in the 580/600/650 line is coming out in January 2008?

I'm pondering wether to buy or not HD-650s now and it would be very useful to know.

If you are as unlucky as I am, the day after you purchase the HD650 the next headphone will be announced by Sennheiser.

I seriously do hope their new headphone (headphones?) are released in the next couple of months. I really want to give it a try!

Senn USA's Eric Palonen promised that CanJam '08 (Head-Fi's 3rd National Meet next year in Ft Lauderdale, FL) will be a big one for Sennheiser when I talked to him at the 2007 Rocky Mountain Audio Fest, so plan on attending if you think that implies the announcement and release of their next flagship open dynamic headphones.
