Does it have to be either of those three? I listen to hip-hop/rock/alt and I just received my Grado SR-225's and I say they are perfect for all 3. Maybe the bass is lacking for hip-hop but I think the Todd Flats or the HD414 pads will fix that. I will be getting the HD414 pads soon. My vote goes for MS-1 if it had to either one of those. But I say get the Grado SR-225's

hmmm, i heard that for rock, SR225 might bring out too many flaws in the recordings since most alt/rock records are overprocessed(compressed...) like crazy...so maybe something of lower range wld be better? like SR60/80/125...or MS1...just my opinion...correct me if im wrong pls..

Darn it......a poll; and I can't vote.
Problem is, I haven't heard SR-60 and HD555.
I enjoyed my MS-1 enough to get MS2i, and I do also very much enjoy my HD600 for it's favorite stuff, but I don't know how the HD600 relates to the 555.
....so....guess this is a meaningless post.
