Sennheiser replacement cables (HD565 Ovation)

Don't know if anyone still interested in this thread but I have exactly same problem. My local sennheiser stockists (Moss of Bath) have quoted £37 for replacement cable from sennheiser.

Hi,

 

I got a Sennheiser HD 565 Ovation, and have the same problem with cable connection to the headphone.

Correcting this problem is quite simple, without having to dismantle, and probably, destroy the headphone connector itself: just spray the cable connector (NEVER the connector inside the headphones!) with a bit of WD-40 oil (don’t use ANY other type of spray oils).

In a matter of two or three days the misconnection will disappear.
