I had the same problem with my mtw3. Probably the left ear bud had no charging connection in the charging box and it did not turn off into idle mode. So it did run empty in a few days. If the ear buds are empty, they do not start charging anymore. I had luck that a few months of warranty were left, so Sennheiser did replace them with the mtw4. I hope this faulty behaviour does not occur with the new version of mtw anymore.
