Thank you again for your prompt reply. I purchased a 3-pack set of Comply S 200s. The hole is too big, and they do not stay on the ear buds. The 100s are too small. The 400s and 500s also seem too big. Guess I'll try other manufacturers, although I am happier since I switched to the largest set of silicone tips included with the Momentum.
Regardless, and I do not have the fine ear for acoustics that you do, I am thrilled with the sound these in-ear headphones produce. Listening to 24-bit 96 kHz FLAC files of vinyl rips gave me the chills, the sound is so good!
oh. well thats a bugger. i really thought the 200 would do it. i still have not a clue what the foam ones i used came off either..
How would you compare the MIE to the IE8/80 in terms of sound quality? And does this justify their price difference?
the IE8/80 smash the Momentums. the Momentum is really bassy, big and rich, bit subdued highs. the 8 is V shaped monster with both bass and treble to die for. quite different beasts but side by side the 8 is a true top tier IEM and the Momentum, while a really nice product and gets your most of the way to the top, when you jump all the way you notice the difference. its especially noticable in the treble, the momentums treble is a bit so so, the IE8's is one of the very best trebles out there.
NB: the IE8 will be considerably less forgiving to bad bit rates, mastering or rubbish DAP's.
