My sennheiser experience start 20 years ago when I bought hd250 and the shop owner let me try he90 orpheus for an hour. It's still remarkable experience. I used to own hd595 and Hd800 and other non sennheiser eg Hifiman he5, he6. My current set is STAX 009 (SZ9-1222) and Woo Wes tube amplifier. I hope sennheiser came up with the new world best headphone not just commercial kit.

While walking past the headphones section in a local electronics store, the Sennheiser HD800 was the first high-end headphone that I ever listened to. It made me a believer that headphones really could sound like live music. Sennheiser is the reason I got into this great hobby. Even though I cannot afford the HD800, I  can't wait to hear what Sennheiser has in store next.

I hope this is not something that will kill the HD 800's after having them from 2009, selling them... and now buying a new pair just two months ago, I would be a very sad Raccoon for a HD850/1000.. or what it might be called. Fingers crossed!

Heya,

I've been sampling different Sennheiser headphones for years and my first pair was an HD580 over a decade ago. Since then I've had the HD650 as the last one I picked up. I've been finding myself, waiting, for even more years, for Sennheiser to release something mid-tier and high-end that is closed back, but has the look, feel and some sound characteristics of something like the HD600 or HD650. None of the current closed Sennheiser headphone line comes close to the open-air offerings. I'm a closed headphone enthusiast. If Sennheiser is to release something closed back, I'm your guy. That is, unless Sennheiser can produce something open/semi-open that is a game changer and win me back.

Very best,

Hi,

I have been a relatively new (compared to many on this forum) to the Hi Fi audio scene and since i have been here i have taken a slow (due to budget) but very satisfying journey into discovering what true hi fi audio is like. I have so far had the pleasure of owning and experiencing In ear monitors from Shure (E3c) Ultimate Ears (Super fi 5 pro and Triple Fi 10 Pro)  Vmoda vibes and as of this year the Sennheiser 558 as my first foray into the full sized over the ear product.
I may not have the most expensive gear or have the means to get the absolute best product. But i would be eternally grateful and appreciative to be considered to receive a new product that would carry me further along my personal journey to audio utopia.

Sincerely

Maxis

As a teenager and a high school student, I think a deep appreciation for high quality music is something that is developed at a young age. As a representative of this age group, I would offer opinions and advice that most of the other members on this board would not be able to offer. I do have a job and often we teens choose to spend it unwisely but through education and development, we can be tamed to realize the need for high quality headphones.

All of the experience I have had with Sennheiser has been incredibly positive. My mobile set-up is no more than a beat-up pair of PX 100's. My IEM of choice is far and away the Sennheiser IE8.
I have had the opportunity to get a test sample on loan from Sennheiser before about which I wrote a very favorable review. I was told by the PR rep from Sennheiser that I need only ask if I would like to review another product. I would be very eager to review any new Sennheiser product to verify that it stands up to the long-standing Sennheiser tradition of excellence.

I have next to no experience with Sennheisers, except for short listening sessions at meets. I'm more of a music lover than a gear aficionado. Still, I'd love the chance to hear these new 'phones.

I'd be lying if I said I had Jude's level of expertise, but as far as casual listeners go, I'm no slouch. I always preferred "fun" sounding phones over more accurate ones, but lately I've been meaning to spread my wings on more refined sets than I am used to. I'm keen on the majority of audiophile lingo, but I much prefer to keep my words "Amazon.com Simple".

I would love to listen to Sennheiser's (yet-to-be released) headphones first not because I'm a mastering engineer, talented musician nor audio restoration specialist but because I LOVE music (and headphones). And music and headphones are what Sennheiser does best.

The least I would offer for Sennheiser (if selected) is honesty, directness, a willingness to report & contribute back to Head-Fi, and definitely enthusiasm too. I'm just in this hobby for fun and like hearing new headphones, so this news about a new headphone has me intrigued and excited. I'm one of those people who would buy it "blind" anyway whether selected or not - that's just how much I'm into headphones.

My profile lists the 70+ headphones & earphones that I've heard over the past 5+ years, all of which has contributed to my unique cumulative headphone experience.

I'd like to propose that I've not heard Sennheiser products thoroughly enough to adequately express opinions, though I've briefly listened to most. I believe that opinions from a regular member, not highly-regarded reviewers who only write positive reviews with excessive accolades, might elicit a sense of legitimacy in the product. My lack of experience may not be appealing, but I still plead to be given the chance to express my passion for this great hobby, and be introduced to the brand in a unique way, which will surely lead to an overall benefit through daily contributions regarding this new product.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sennheiser from the 70s.  Yellow foam!

Currently I have the HD800s in my office system via Eddie Current ZDT, and the HD650 in my home system via an upgraded Bottlehead Crack.  I have never taken a good liking to any of the other major players, Grado etc.  Hard to beat the HD line from Sennheiser for comfort or sound quality imo.

I would love to have these not yet released headphones because my friends are going to be so jealous when I tell them how awesome my new headphones are.

All jokes aside, I deserve this opportunity because I'm sure I can give my honest and objective opinion about these headphones. I 've plenty of experience with Sennheiser headphones (I stil own two) and with other brands as well. The funny thing is, the first in-ears I bought were from Sennheiser (Sennheiser EX300) and the last one I bought were also from Sennheiser (Sennheiser HD600). I'm listening to my HD600's.

I am addicted (only) to headphones. It all started from 2004,with Sennheiser 515, 555, PXC 350 and now the 650, 800. I have burnt a big chunk of my hard earned savings and am willing to burn more considering the audio bliss I will get by the improvements in sound you guys produce through your superb RnD and Engineering!  Sennheiser phones are loved for the music they produce, which is appreciated from the layman to the senior most head-fier, and so I think I deserve a chance to hear the future (being more of a layman who loves listening to music through headphones). Its a tough ask though as I live in India and have to acquire all my phones through friends abroad. Thanks for setting off a dream and wish it will be something like the famed HE90, which possibly more people can buy today, than before.

On a serious note, please get your new stuff reviewed by excellent passionate senior reviewers at Head-fi, who can provide valuable unbiased inputs at design phase to improve the product. It is like a free six sigma quality check with advance customer feedback for you. They are good enough to tell how you can improve the sound of even your flagships. This will be a great help for people who want the music nirvana, but have to buy them blind without audition due to constants.
