Like many, I'm finding the stock case a pretty poor affair. Sure, It's probably a very safe place for the ie800 to live but it's a pretty awkward affair when out and about. So I've been looking for interesting alternatives - and I believe I've found one. I was looking at some horseshoe coin wallets on-line and reckoned that this was the way to go so my mission was to find a really great quality one.
Today, while out and about with my wife (am on vacation!), I found myself in a Mulberry boutique - she's addicted to their stuff.... They had a men's section with lots of fancy bags and whatnot. In the wallets cabinet I found they had a coin wallet on sale for €45 (down from €120) so I bought it! Have a look at the pics... I think it'll do the job just right! The ie800s fit perfectly and not at all tight. It tapers a little towards the top so there's more room at the bottom. The rim of the cover is stiff so there's a fair bit of protection too. There's also a little flap-covered pocked to store the cleaning tool should I choose to. It's in a dark brown colour and matches my AK120 quite well in the brown cover...!
