Looking at those, the indicators look similar, material-wise, though the BT ones are a bit longer. Is that section a separate material that seems like it's connected through adhesive? I'm thinking of maybe seeing if some carefully applied heat may let me slip those indicators off.I got an LC-2.5D/3.5D/4.4D in the 4.4 balanced connector. It was a lot of work to get them to fit but I finally did. I ended up using a small file to file the sides down. I actually need to go back and do some more filing to get it perfect. I don't know if it was worth it to me, but if you got the $ and time it might be to you.

Did not think of that, a very small area to heat, would not want to melt anything inside the connector but might work. I don't know if that is a separate or different material.Looking at those, the indicators look similar, material-wise, though the BT ones are a bit longer. Yeah, it'd definitely need very carefully applied heat if possible. Guess I'll experiment and try on the BT ones, since I do have a heating kit used for phone repair.Did not think of that, a very small area to heat, would not want to melt anything inside the connector but might work. Edit: Picked up the BT cables, definitely going to take a bit to test, will update here if it works or not.

Well, I got it to work out. Not a bad set of BT wires, obviously not as good as wired though. The material they used also doesn't do well with ears my shape and with glasses, though it's comfortable enough for commute-length sessions.
The metal rings were very firmly cinched on, and no adhesive was used. I was unable to pull or twist them off, unfortunately. I had to use a small set of side cutters to slice the rings off. From there, I needed to shave the rubber down ever so slightly for the left bud to snap in. And voila! Fully functional BT for the IE 300.

Hello everyone
The IE 300 is 199$ on amazon
I want to order one
I have 2 questions
1. The issue with faulty IE 300 is still going or sennheiser fixed it?
2. If I get a faulty IE 300 amazon agree to replace it for me with another one or not?
Thanks everyone

Can't speak for everyone, but the one I got from Amazon was fine, no issues with quality control. Amazon should do replacements/returns though if there's a problem.Hello everyone

If amazon amazon replace it for me (if I got faulty IE300) is a good idea to buy it at this price point?

I've had to had mine replaced 2 times already, once in July and once again a few weeks ago (still waiting for the replacement to come in). Sennheiser has me covered for 2 years, but I hope you and I get pairs that don't have QC issues. If your model has any issues you are fine under their warranty.Hello everyone

So the problem not solved by sennheiser yet…
You bought it from amazon or directly from sennheiser?

For what it's worth, I got mine through an Amazon third party store. Though they are covered under Amazon's return policy and (from what I was told) under Sennheiser's warranty.

Just go these, initial sound impression is that they are a decent value for 190 EUR (BF-deal), but for the launching price at 300 EUR there's loads of better options if we only take SQ in account. They are perhaps a bit too V-shaped for my taste, but given the price and the incredible comfort I'm sure plenty of people will be perfectly happy with the IE-300.
I'm also forced to use Fiio LC-BT2 until the UTWS5 is in stock here in Europe...The UTWS5 should be a big step above the LC-BT2.
However the IE-300 are by far the most comfortable IEM's I've ever tried, especially together with a pair of Azla SednaEarfit Crystal tips! The best part is that you can lay on your couch/bed with your head in any position since the IE300 fits so snugly in your ear.
These will be a fine subsitute until I finally can get my hands on the bigger brother (IE-900)...I've waited since September...
