A cheaper Chi-Fi alternative with a similar sound signature and comparable or better quality is the Tin Audio T2:

If you want the most sound quality and detail for about $100, check out the CCA C16 with 8 balanced armatures per side here:

Nice ok i read it all ready thank you how does it compare to tin t2 or zs7 shure 215 ?
I don't have any experience with Tin T2 or ZS7. For SE215 wise, I find the air and space in more in IE40 Pro which make the clarity and separation better. SE215 is at the warmer side with slight emphasis at the bass and mids. IE40 Pro is more neutral.Nice ok i read it all ready thank you how does it compare to tin t2 or zs7 shure 215 ?

I think i get them i like the shape seems comfortable to lay on my ear whit it
Hopefully you will like it! Happy listening

I got the IE 40 Pro a few days ago. Beats the Tin Audio T2 hands down. I found the the T2 boring and lacking bass. The 40 Pro is built great, comfortable, isolates well and sounds great to my ear. Very smooth signature that's a good all arounder.

Sennheiser, the world's best headphone company according to innerfidelity's Tyll Hertsens, had been resting on their laurels for a while -- at least in the iem sector. They have just released an interesting new in-ear monitor, the $99 ie 40 Pro...which will be followed by the ie400 and ie500 next month.
Biodegraded and I have just released a very thorough double review of the ie40 Pro on our own blog...my part will go up on Head-Fi asap (Biodegraded it not a Head-Fier).

Just picked these up today. Coming from a JH Audio JH13FP, really enjoying having a dynamic driver IEM again (and they were only $100!). The bass extends more and has more punch to it, but there doesn't appear to be any bleeding into other tone-bands. The JH13 is definitely a bit more neutral, but also I think it's just a dynamic driver thing where they can more easily give a more extended and textured bass. BA drivers always sound a bit anemic in that department. So this IE40Pro is fun, for me
Nice to re-listen to my music with a different sound signature. Definitely worth the $100 I spent on it.
Oh and it has that typical monitor sound, with a lot of detail and some people might not like that. I personally prefer it over the more laidback sounding IEMs / headphones / speakers (I'm a big fan of the Sony MDR-7520 monitor headphone).

Got a pair and liking how it sounds out of the box. Can't wait to hear how the big brothers (ie400 and ie500) sound.
I need a pair of headphones during walking to my job...cca 30 min every day and sometime use them with my PC. During my walking I am using a Fioo M3k player.
Unfortunately my beloved Sennheiser Px 100-II doesn't work any more and it is time for a new pair.
I have tried my sons Beyerdynamic Byron but I would like to go with the IE 40 Pro.
One question for the owners. Is it true that the earbuds pop off easily from the cable? If yes, could this be a problem during walking?

Not in my experience. IE 40 Pro cables haven’t budged from the earbuds. Used them to walk (2-3 hours at a time), do house chores and mow the lawn. They feel really snug. The connector is also relatively deep. They haven’t given me any impression that the cables might disconnect from the earbuds on their own.
I also get very little microphonics or wind noise sound. They isolate decently, but unless you crank up the volume, you should be able to also hear your surroundings. If you’re buying them for walking, I would fully endorse them from personal experience.

This is a really great iem. The imaging is superb, they sound huge. Very clean background. It beats all other dynamic driver iem I have at home: eph100, se215, ie80, titan1. With the Nuforce edc3 is a nice match. They are almost on the same level, but I'll give the ie40 a small edge for now.
The only real cons is the uneven treble response. It has a dip somewhere in the upper mids and it's slightly brighter up on top. I want to see if after a massive break in (300 hours) it will get better.
Easily a 500$ iem if was not the treble uneveness.
Sennheiser really has developed a new gen dynamic driver!
