So for those that that own the 800S is the balanced cable provided by Sennheiser a quality cable, and do you know the composition; i.e.: copper/silver?  Thanks

Pretty sure Senn uses silver plated copper wire in their cables

Just picked up my HD800S from Meir, took a month tok get to me, thanks to US custom.

First impression: tonal balance improve measurably than HD800. I like it!

Cable is very nice, I don't think I will need to use after market one.

Released yes, but the first batch is gone... next batch is due mid-february I've heard (i.e. going out to retailers).

How is the hd800s compared to the phillips fidelio x2 regards to bass? The philips x2 is an good allround/fun headphone. How is the hd800s? Is it an good allround headphone? I listen to all kinds of music.But often electronica,and music with bass.
