OMG. The WA8 has really brought the 800S up another notch. Loving how the soundstage has become more holographic instead of just wide. The top end has also been rounded off while still retaining that treble energy. NICE.

The Diablo had already brought a lot to the bass, but the WA8 has gone and brought even more depth and sustain. Just about perfect now.

Can't wait for the HA-6A to come and test that out~

does anyone who owns both the hd800s and hd650 still find use for the hd650? does the hd650 provide any unique features or sound that the hd800s does not have?

I still switch between them pretty regularly. HD6XX for the glorious mid-range, and great when I want a somewhat more relaxed and warmer sound than the HD800S (aka, when I don't want every last iota of detail and intoxicating soundstage from the 800S because I'm trying to work on something else at my computer but I still want to listen to music). I generally prefer the 6XX for smooth jazz from the 70's/early 80's (Marcus Miller, Smokey Robinson) or if I don't want to blast my ears out with a particularly sibilant recording (i.e. The Essential Skeeter Davis).

I still listen to mine from time to time. Its nice to have another pair to give contrast and keeps HD800s fresh from when you get used to the sound stage and all.

After about a month with the hd800s, everything else, susvara, lcd4, Arya, etc sounds thick and smaller in comparison. Using forza copper cable and moon 430had. I think the hd800s is superior also in Comfort.

The soundstage of HD 800 S is big, yeah, but the images are not so; actually they quite small compared to the whole sound space. I suppose Arya (v2) wins here in the department of stage/images size (as well as HE1000se).
