The Verge just reported that Sennheiser's consumer headphone division has been sold to Swiss hearing aid manufacturer Sonova - link here.
Hopefully Drop will continue to make the HD 6XX.
Sounds like the least bad outcome. After all, etymotic also was/is a hearing aid company.

And that is a very good thingI finally realized after listening to so many different headphones, $100 pairs to $5000 i still realized that, i still love my sennheiser hd650s. i have never heard another headphone that can produce detailed but heavy bass like the sennheiser hd650s. Even though the sound is a little laid back, i still love them. i tried the grado sr325is and i just didnt like the sound, it was sort of muffled, there was (to me) hardly any detail. all i have to say is I LOVE MY 650s! No one can take them away from me!

So I got this foam pad. Even though it says it’s the original foam, it’s thicker/more dense than the original HD650 foam.

Does anyone know where you can buy original HD650 foam pads?

Hmm, so all the separate foam pads, are not the original? It’s a shame, as the original foams are more transparent than the aftermarket ones. Not without buying an entire new set of $50 pads.

Guys, is a Fiio k3 enough to temporarily drive a hd650 until I capitalize to get a Crack 1.1 or a Schiit Magnius?

Sorry, I’m sure this has been asked a million times before. But can someone steer me to a decent budget 4-pin XLR Balanced cable compatible with Sennheiser HD650?
If possible, I’d like to try to keep the price under $50 or maybe a bit more than that, if need be.
Copper would be ok, (but maybe indicate a silver or silver plated one as well).
And it would be a plus if it is readily available on Amazon USA.
TIA

I looked on Amazon, but I ended up buying a custom-made cable from eBay. I would try a search there.

I found this on Amazon, but cable microphonics might be an issue.
