Thanks!

Any setting recommendations I should use with the HiFi-M8? I plan to use the iPod Classic 7th Generation as a transport.

Well, you should play around but I have Impedance at high (left), gain at medium (middle), bass at low (left), and treble at low (left).

I don't think the M8 includes a 30 pin mini cable anymore, but monoprice has one very similar to the one that used to be:

Hi all,

Looking to upgrade my setup.

Definitely keeping my HD650s, but I'm looking to replace my FiiO E7/E9 combo.

I'm more or less set on an uber Bifrost for the DAC, although I'm open to suggestions of course.

For amps, I was looking at the Woo Audio WA6. I've done some digging, and it seems like it should be a good combination with the 650s.
Please note that I live in Europe, and the WA6 will cost me ~1000 dollars.
Would it still be a good choice at this price? Does anyone have experience pairing a WA6 with HD650s?

Cheers!

Consider a Feliks Audio Elise amplifier, as you're in Europe. Much lower cost for very serious performance. Take a look at the thread on the (full size) Amps forum. Good luck.

Schiit is now teasing about Gungnir and Bifrost upgrades "soon". See the Darko report from the Newport show.

My WA6 provides a lively yet silky smooth presentation by the 650s with the Brimar 5z4g rectifier and 6fd7 fatbottle driver/power tubes. All are affordable and available. I'm completely happy for several days with that setup. I use a SED 5u3c blackplate rectifier and 7n7 driver/power tubes for Grados, but it's too laid back for 650s in my system.
