I have the LCD-2 and the HD800, but I spend more time listening music on my HD650 and T1.
As I don't have any comfort issues with LCD-2, sadly my HD650 became a bit redundant for me...
+1 for each tool it's own use.

HE-560 is great complement to HD800 and no comfort issue
I have heard of QC issues, and general cheapness of feel, the main reason I will be avoiding the 560 for a little bit.

The QC issues are overstated and the sonic are second too none for the price.
May I ask why, if you have any specific reason behind it? I used to own the T1 and sold it cause I preferred the HD800, and about to get another complementary cans for the HD800 and so far the HD650 is the strongest candidate. I liked the sound of the LCD-2 very much, but I just can't stand its comfort at all..
I use the HD650 with the HiFi-M8 as a transportable solution on my travels and ..., the T1 is my favorite for general listening, it's more all-rounder than the HD800 and more comfy than the LCD-2.
The T1 sound signature is close to the HE-560, IMO, but I still prefer the T1 (driven by Crack + SB) over the HE-560. To me trebles on the T1 are more smooth than the HE-560.
How much time had you spent with the 560, and prior to that how much time had you spent with the T1? Just curious.
A couple days with the HE-560 (it was used, no need to burn-in), A couple years with the T1 and HE-500.
You may want to reconsider the judgment on the 560's, mine are at about 200 and continue to improve, plus I am using the Focus A Pads and Norne DIY Cable, probably the greatest extension, in an extremely smooth presentation. How do you know the pair you listened too were fully burned-in, what were you using to amp them?
