I'm currently running the mixamp with a pair of hd598's which I bought mainly for gaming purposes and I am extremely pleased with the combo. I've had the combo for a year next month and has been amazing but I been using my 598's more and more for music, and I even started to listen to genres that I would never think I would even enjoy in the least bit but the 598's even after a year are still showing me the "WOW" factor. So my question is I am really interested in the hd600's and am wondering if anybody has the astro mixamp and the hd600 combo and what their thoughts are. As of when I get the 600's its going to be a 50-50 of music and gaming, and I plan on investing in a amp dac for them but thats a whole different question

I know that this is a old thread, but there was no answer to your question. This is a no-no because the HD600's need a powerful head-amp. The Astro mix amp is WAY to weak to drive the HD600's, HD650's and HD800's
