Hi everyone,
is $233 dollars a good price for a brand new pair of the HD600's? Should I make the purchase?.
At the moment I only have a pair of ATH M50's and I found these brand new HD600's wondering if it is worth it.

Thanks.

There are two websites. My mistake, in fact one of the sites offers it for 233 dollars but then you have to pay around 40 dollars shipping which comes to around 272 dollars by the end. There is also another website that offers it for 280 and has free shipping. These sites offer grey imports I believe as they specialize in camera products. I have also bought a camera of of one of them so I know they are legit. They ship to Australia for sure, not so sure whether they ship to other countries though.

I would have bought these for sure for 233. Now the total price is around 280 I am not so certain whether to go for these or get a different pair such as the hd 650 or dt880..

I'm biased of course, but even at $280 I feel the hd600 is a fantastic set of cans. It does so much right!

No I don't think they are fake. Just grey imports. Now to decide on these or the hd650's or dt 880's. :p. Hmm.

Depends on what kind of sound you're looking for. A good deal doesn't always mean it's a headphone you're going to listen to and love.

DT880 - Bright, balanced, meaty bass.
HD600 - Warm neutral, hint of sparkle.
HD650 - Dark, rolled off treble, slightly warmer.

Very best,

Yeah that is why I am holding off for the moment so as to not regret the purchase later down the line.
Thanks man for the descriptions... still it is very hard without listening for an extended period of time with each headphone which one I would actually prefer. I have listened to them all. The dt 880's I heard around a year ago but only for a little while. The HD600's I listened to in a loud shopping mall for an even shorter amount of time. The HD650's I cannot even remember what they sound like :p.
