Hello all!
I am a fellow Head-Fier looking forward to getting a relatively major upgrade on my over-ear headphones. I currently have the Sennheiser HD448, but I am looking into the Momentum. A person mentioned that the earcups for the Momentum are quite small, so if anyone has BOTH of these headphones, mind doing a comparison and telling me your results? Thanks much!

My bad, the HD 448 cover the ears quite well, and the Momentum are small over ears and don't surround my ears completely but they're still much more comfortable than HD 448 anyway.

Great, thanks for the feedback McNuggetsPie! I was also wondering if you could provide me with how well the Sennheiser Momentum's passive noise reduction/isolation is, when compared to the Sennheiser HD448, or in your case, the HD 449.

Hi!

I have just auditioned the Momentums (and own the 448s). The sound is great, I feel the 448 have slightly better isolation, I can see the Momentums being uncomfortable for some as they are quite small. The HD448 is for me the perfect size but of course nothing beats the 598 for comfort.

Anyhow. I liked the sound of the Momentums but wasn't quite sure if the sound quality really was that much better than the one of the 448/449. However, I needed a pair of open on-ears so I walked out the shop buying a pair of 239s

Hope that helps.

No the 219, 229 are the 239 are of the open variety.

And looking back the Momentums were better for sure than the 449s however, 3x better, hmmmm. But with the offer at Amazon UK for just 2x the price of the 449, it's getting very tempting. VERY...

Yes
What I meant to say. The 219 and 229 are closed. The 239 are open.

Cheers,
K
