Hello,
Can I get some help with EQ for my HD 800s. I'm using APO Equalizer and this is where I'm at right now. I'm open to take suggestions on changing FC, Gain and the Q number. My ultimate goal is make the sound natural and "flat" as possible.

Give this a listen and give me your input and give me your settings :)

HD 800s Equalizer APO setting:

Preamp: -6 dB
Filter: ON PK Fc 15 Hz Gain 3 dB Q 0.8
Filter: ON PK Fc 67 Hz Gain 1.7 dB Q 3
Filter: ON LS Fc 70 Hz Gain 1.1 dB Q 1
Filter: ON PK Fc 220 Hz Gain -.6 dB Q 0.6
Filter: ON PK Fc 750 Hz Gain -.8 dB Q 0.8
Filter: ON PK Fc 1550 Hz Gain 1.0 dB Q 3
Filter: ON PK Fc 2100 Hz Gain 1.6 dB Q 4
Filter: ON PK Fc 4500 Hz Gain -1.6 dB Q 4
Filter: ON PK Fc 5750 Hz Gain -5 dB Q 3
Filter: ON PK Fc 7900 Hz Gain -3 dB Q 8

What is your reference of "flat" sounding and what is your reference of "natural" sounding? These terms vary between folks here, especially with tuning. You could consider the Harman Curve as the "flat" benchmark, but even that is arguable.

I don't have the HD800S, but have the HD800 SDR mod. Judging by your EQ profile, this to me seems to go on the "warm" tuning and leaning to "dark" because of the 7.9kHz area you're lowering. If you were trying to remove some treble artifacts, you could try a peak filter like this one instead:

Code:
ON PK Fc 19366 Hz Gain -11.6 dB Q 0.38

I guess I'm aiming for the harmon target.
