Hi everyone. I may have some issues with my HD700 and I need a second opinion.
While listening to some bass heavy music I noticed that the left channel made all kinds of cracking sounds on higher volume like when the driver overextends way beyond it's limits. The things is that this is only happening with the left driver, the right driver works fine. I made a test with a signal generator on 75Hz and the left driver distorts at a much lower volume than the right one. I use a Titanium HD + Sherwood receiver at the moment for amplification. Also I tested my 598 and both drivers distort at the same volume. The cans are 8 days old and I was thinking that maybe this will fix itself with time as they burn in. Should I send them back?
