Sennheiser HD 660S2 thread

i am constantly swapping between my 109 pro and s2.
i am huge fan of both headphones.
i find it crazy what sennheiser delivers here for a lower price than the 109
i am quite sure the s2 can do even better with a greater amp but on the fiio k7 they sound clean and never out of control.
And I've got S2 brand new on a real bargain price on a net store.

I haven't tried the 109, but S2 is the best headphones I've owned or tried. And I like the feel and look. The 109 looks weird imo.

the 109 are a great sidegrade to the s2. if you are happy with the S2 just stick with them.

Snatched the HD660S2 on a good deal, was not expecting much after the divided reviews…well I’m completely blown away.
Bue bye hd650, bye bye even HD800S, to my ears, this ks the best Sennheiser ever made (escludong the Orpheus that I haven’t heard).
In a few words: details yet buttery snoothness, masterpiece of timbre and tone. The time will come when these headphones will be the GOAT.
I had a similar reaction when I first listened to my 660S2. I couldn't believe that for quite some time I thought they had better bass and overall tonality than the mighty HD800S! after a few hours of new toy syndrome wearing out I came back to my senses... but still... they really come close to being the more enjoyable headphones...

Yes I ended up having the same experience but my conclusion is still that it’s a more enjoyable headphone, although less technically capable than the hd800S, more enjoyable.

Leaving this here in case anyone believes Sennheiser's false advertising about DD's 😂

Only that the website does have a different text, they talk about audiophile heasphones only.
