Anyone has compisons to the SRH1840?
It would have to be officially released first

Doesn't that hp have serious problems? Resonance or something? I can't remember offhand.Anyone has compisons to the SRH1840?
I know the Meze 109 is stealing some of the sub $1,000 buyers. I've been saying for a while, Sennheiser needs something competitive with all the new kids. The Focal Elex & Clear have also taken a large share of that category. Sennheiser has some big shoes to fill with this new release and I'm hoping all their activity on the forums that they have seen what is occuring in our hobby.
Considering he was a consultant for the NDH-30 from what I read, I wouldn't be surprised if he's involved with the HD 660S2. Neumann is part of Sennheiser after all. Yes he was involved with the original HD 660 S.Highly doubt it even as a consultant, while on the subject though did he have anything to do with 660S?
Apperently it has audable subbass distortion that only occurs on measurements but Ive yet to see anyone complain about it.Doesn't that hp have serious problems? Resonance or something? I can't remember offhand.

Which hole is this?Like I said bring back a new version HD700 to compete in an area Sennheiser has a large gaping hole in.

No source Eric - my apologizes for making it seem like a truth. It is just my opinion. The HD700 and HD820 have been polarizing. The HD800 is 14 years old now. It should trickle down by now, but we haven't seen it yet. 'Innovation' was being made in the sub $1000 range. The price difference between the HD6XX is just unfair to almost everything in price / performance ratio.Source?

HD660 to HD800 - you can fit 139 different models in this hole (138 if you do not want an HD700mk2)Which hole is this?
they removed the 660S base model from the headphone lineup at Sennheiser's site.
No worries at all I thought you had access to something I'd want to collect haha. I love good data. Developing the next thing takes time especially if you want to exceed the benchmark. If your wishes for a 650 with more oomph, I think you're going to like what we have in store for you. Cheers! No source Eric - my apologizes for making it seem like it seem like a truth. The HD 660S2 seems to answer many of the minor quirks of its ancestors. That is also just my opinion, but they seem to be bullet points in the literature. The coil and surround changes seem great. The fs down in the 70's and still retaining top end extension - nice. My hopes are a more resolving HD650 with more low end extension. Fingers crossed.
