First post here! I recently got my hands on a pair of brand new Sennheiser HD 439's for $40, and the sound quality is great. My only issue is that being a gamer, and a big music head, the sound is a little low in some instances. Some games they are fine, other games I can barely hear footsteps (even with max volume ect). I'm looking at headphone amps, or sound cards that may address this issue. The cheaper the better. I'm a bit lost in the world of audio. The last sound card I had was back in 2004 and it was a creative sound blaster (to give you an idea how long its been :S). Anyway, what is my best choice here? Some names of products would be nice. Thank you in advance.
