First post on this forum although I have been following threads.
 
I wanted to ask what people think of the Sennheiser HD 425 headphones. I'm interested in purchasing a pair of the retro ones. I think they are from the last 70s. I already have some Pioneed SE L40. What does everyone think about the older hd 425 and what would be a reasonable price to pay?

I Have a pair of these I bought in the early 80's. I recently replaced the ear cushions with replacements from Sennheiser for around $30
 
I never used them for years ( maybe 20 ) because the cushions disintegrated. I think they sound good... Open air etc.. You need a good amp that can run the headphones.
