Has anyone heard this with the HD580 or HD600? Is it any good? and does it drive the HD580 sufficiently well?

I've heard it with both. It's a nice gimmick for emulating Dolby Pro Logic when watching a movie. It's NOT a good headphone amplifier, and the stereo processor is terrible. It might help a portable drive the Senn's in an emergency, but most headphone jacks sound better than this one.

I've heard it as well, and I have to back Hirsch. It's a really neat trick. Hearing surround sound out of headphones is pretty neat, but it really stinks as a headphone amplifier.
