Sennheiser CX-300-II or Sony MH-1?

As the title says, which one would you recommend? Up until today I had Cx 300 II but I managed to break them using nothing but my stupidity. But they've been awesome because of sound quality and durabilty. But, the Sony earphones have an appealing feature:flat cable. And I've also read the the sound is very good. So, as you might expect, I'm in a bit of a dilemma and I hope you can help me.

Soundwise, the MH1 is infinitely superior. The CX 300-II is way too muddy, has overbloated bass and recessed mids.
 
As for the flat cable on the MH1, actually it is the only thing I HATE of them LOL. It's horribly microphonic! And the J-shape isn't too user friendly either.
