I’ll admit I have no knowledge of that the sound quality from the CC+ is not audio quality—we’re still waiting for the reviews. All I’m saying is that the company with the “Sennheiser” name on it usually markets it products for the audiophile…
Sennheiser has been making mics and headphone (transducers) for over 75 years. Assistive & enhanced hearing devices have been made and sold by the brand for well over 40 years, but of course, discovery and acknowledgement of those devices depends on the circles in which they are mentioned.
"Sennheiser? Ahh yes, they make the sweet mics my band uses" - musician
"Sennheiser? Ahh yes, they make the TV listening headphones my wife and I use" - elderly couple
"Sennheiser? Ahh yes, they make those yellow hi-fi headphones...I still use them to this day" - OG audiophile
"Sennheiser? Ahh yes, they make headphones and headsets that my esports team uses" - gamer
"Sennheiser? Ahh yes, they make some noise cancelling headphones" - Business traveler
"Sennheiser? Ahh yes, they make those sport headphones I use at the gym" - athlete
"Sennheiser? Ahh yes, they make great audiophile headphones" - Head-Fi member
"Sennheiser? Ahh yes, they make the ceiling beam forming mic for our conference room audio system" - Hybrid corporate A/V-IT guy
"Sennheiser? Ahh yes, they make all of the broadcast headsets we use for on-air programming" - ESPN sound tech
"Sennheiser? Ahh yes...." ok you get the point...we're known for various things in various circles. The circle you and I are in right now is indeed audiophile focused. We're glad Conversation Clear Plus is getting some awareness here, but recognize it's not what this circle will choose first for their application. The company with the Sennheiser name on it is everywhere you find audio.
Some of these non-audiophile businesses total in the hundreds of millions of euros/dollars annually.
We simply hope that those that love the brand for whatever the original reason, will still reach for the brand when a need for better situational sound arises. Thx for chiming in about CC+!
