Hi there,
I have two pairs of Sennheiser headphones:
- Sennheiser HD 25-1 II (on the move)
- Sennheiser HD580 (at home)

I'm very happy with both, but unfortunately I have a connection problem with them. It seems their is a connetion problem in the connectors, in the "speaker" end. In swedish the word is "glapp", I dont know the proper English word but sometimes it works perfect, and suddenly it's a disconnetion. And when i touch the cable/conenctor, it works perfect again. I don't think it is in the cable but in the connection (I bought a new cable for HD 580). Quite annoying... I tried usin "contactr spray" (again, I dont know the proper English word..), but not improving really..

Known issue with Sennheiser?
What to do about it?

(Have tried to search the forum, but not found anything, maybe I'm using the wrong wrods..)

Regards,
Jakob

used contact spray on the springs. I think the springs should make contact to both the connector and the "post" where the thin cable to the coil is fastened. Maybe it is the spring - post that is getting corroded? Then it might being better to spray from here, ratehr trying to get some down the small holes?

It works ok now, but  Ineed to use it some days before I can say it is solved...

Comments or thoughts are appreciated.

Jakob

It lasted for 2 days, it started to crack again..
Would it make difference to remove the spring and phusically use contact/spray alcohol to clean it??
