How much did you guys pay for yours? Thinking heavily about getting a pair but I want to see what I will be looking at price wise. Also, if you have any recommendations for my music preferences please voice them: I listen to experimental, noise rock, sludge, metal, rock, SOME hip hop, and wish to get out of the grado line. Would be looking to spend 300 bucks and a bit over.

I really want to determine if the 650's are THAT much better then 600's, and if these would even be the best option for my next upgrade

338.95 shipped from Sonicsense over the phone! :)
Purchased on 01/13/11 (it feels like I've had them forever though...these things are forever on my head).

Before I jumped to the HD-800's I got my Hd-650's new from amazon for $328.00 and that was at least a yr + ago.....I'm keeping mine...I did re cabled them, and IMO it that improved the "Veil" people seem to dislike about them.........Have you checked Audiogon.....Type in Headphones in the search box.....But most are higher then what I paid for a new pr., But you never Know.......

After listening and studying the build Quality of all the cables out there..I chose to get a 10ft Double Helix Copper wire "Blacked Out Style" with cardas ear cup connectors and Furutech 1/4" plug.....I liked it.........For my Hd-800's to help the overall sound I used Moon Audio "Blue Dragon" ver 3 with copper wire, but built using the same design features used in his "Silver Dragons" ...... Teflon,cotton dielectric, wrapped in a shield finished of with his black mesh covering......IMO both of these cables made a big improvement to me........I chose copper over silver  to knock down the highs and add to the bottom end...PS I KNOW MANY DON'T BELIEVE IN HEARING ANY DIFFERENCE, (because you can't measure the difference)    That's their right to believe what they see and read .........
