So after reading all the good things people are saying about these cans, I am considering picking up a pair, just for kicks. I'd mostly use them for portable, alongside my KSC75's (modded). Thing is, if they aren't as good (or maybe just different in a good way) than the KSC75's, I won't use them, and that's $17 down the drain. Anyone own both? Is it worth getting? Thanks.

I used to own the 201. It's not as good as the ksc. The sound is very very congested and muffled imo.

I had both. I only used the HD 201 when I needed a bit of isolation at work, or wanted to prevent sound leakage. Other than those factors, I think the KSC75 sounds better overall, with much nicer bass and treble extension. 201 has nice mids, but not a lot else.

I also had them for a while. Not good for congested passages, and requires a lot of power to sound good, at least it seemed that way to me.
