lol, ppl do like to dig up some old threads.

(my opinion) Sound quality: 650 >= 600 > 580 > 595 > 590

Comfort: 590 > 595 > 580/600/650

You're crazy, man. :p

I can see the 650 and, to a lesser extent depending on taste, the 600, but not the other two.

plz,try to hook on a pair of HD580 before making the commend.

he's not crazy, HD580 is way better than 595 that's the truth, but for HD590 VS 595... it really depending on the taste.

Its not THE truth. i heard hd580 and i conclude that hd595 and hd580 are on par or even slightly better but different sound signature. Now this is truth to me but not truth to you

580 vs. 595 = you'd want to trust the numbers

590 vs. 595 = you wouldn't want to trust the numbers; the 590 won't live up to 595 minus 5

I've had them all except for the 590. I like the 580s the best. They're no different than the 600s and a bit more articulate than the 650s though the 650s go way lower. If you like a lot of clean, deep bass the 650s are the way to go. If you're looking for best headphone for the money, find a pair of 580s and be happy.

I have both the hd580 and hd650 too. I have to say I really like the hd580 signature. Airy, speedy and dynamic (it seems to react faster than the 650) though a bit light on the bass.

It seems a bit faster since it is lighter with the bass... easy answer there.

You'll acknowledge that the HD580 won't realisticly be any "faster" than the HD650 (a higher resolution phone). It's the HD650 having a more full bodied (deeper) bass along with a less forward lower treble I can easily guess.

Andrea, I disagree. To me the HD600 always seemed a little faster, more energentic compared to the HD650 across the frequency spectrum. I don't think it has to do with the more forward highs of the HD580/600 or the extra bass of the HD650 (and I wouldn't say the HD650 has deeper bass--ie better extension--it's just that it has more bass, period) but that's just my opinion.

Im in the market for either 580's or 595's and cant make up my mind nor can I try them on locally.

Ill mostly be using them at the pc for gaming (occasionaly music/movies) so which will sound better? I want pinpoint sound with the feel of being part of the actual game. Ive read the reviews of the 580s and they seem to have a big soundstage which may be better for gaming?

Do any of you audiophiles game?

I suggest the HD 595. They sound great and are easy to drive.
