Brought these on a sale at a Best Buy  5 months ago to replace my broken Sony MDRs.....sound is OK...if lacking punch in the low end...but over the last month the right ear has started to rattle badly. I take good care of my gear , the headphones have sat on my amp for the time I have owned them. Any ideas what I can do to get this fixed or replaced?

Have you tried to gently vacuum the driver area out?  It could be a hair or piece of debris caught in the driver area.

How would i do that safely?

Try vacuuming out the earcup area making sure NOT to remove the foam.
