I approached Currawong about a in Tokyo (andJapan) forum trading thread and go an ok to proceed.
My thinking is:
-We are a small community familiar with each other by and large. Not faceless and anonymous.
-We can bypass trading to a shop and having them mark it up and then (potentially) resell to another headfier at an expensive mark up. I would rather give the lower price to a fellow head-fier first.(Of course the selling price is up to the owner/seller).
-Saves us buying at full new price or at a second hand shop mark up.
-We can deal locally rather than internationally.
-The chance to buy before you try, and maybe even have a coffee/beer.
-Gives us more to chat about in the Tokyo/Japan section.
Options:
-Keep the sales/trades within this thread for now with additional PM's as needed.
-Later perhaps expand to individuals own personal for sale thread where they can update their first page with goods for sale/trade.
-Of course this is head-fi so we need to largely keep it related to accepted goods such as sources,amps and headphones.Though other peripheral goods such as memory cards etc would be acceptable.
-And of course see how it goes.
