Hello head-fi

Does Sennheiser HD600 and HD558's have same sound signature? Graphs are almost same.

http://www.headphone.com/learning-center/build-a-graph.php?graphID[0]=2861&graphID[1]=573&graphID[2]=&graphID[3]=&graphType=0&buttonSelection=Compare+Headphones

Square Wave Response on 50Hz is also similar, only slight difference I see on FR graph.

Please share that you think

Thanks

Heya,

They do not sound alike at all really.

The HD598 has less bass, so it's mids & treble seem more forward sounding. It will be a touch brighter to you.
The HD600 is more neutral, so nothing sounds more forward and everything is more in line with each other. Sounds warmer.

Very best,

Thanks, more bright than beyerdynamic dt 880? or other beyers for example dt660/dt440?

I found that Violin needs more treble than my current cans have.

Heya,

I'd say they're similar in brightness to the DT880, depending on how you're amplifying the DT880 (assuming higher impedance version). Cannot comment on the DT660/440.

Violin would be quite wonderful on the HD598.

Another headphone to consider is perhaps the Sony MA900.

Very best,
