Thanks doc for being a generous host and having us. It was really fun although I'm disappointed I missed on testing the legendary AK1000

I didn't even know there was an upstairs with more stuff. Crud.

Yeah I mostly stayed in the room I set up camp in. There was a lot of stuff I wanted to listen to, and a lot of stuff I got side-tracked with. I didn't get to go upstairs at all too. >.>

It was a great meet though! Thanks again to Doc B. for hosting the event, and BIG POPPA for putting it together.

hello,

fun, laid back meet.

thanks ever so to the good folks at Bottle Head and Big Poppa.

highlights for me:

Curbfeeler's always excellent rig and awesome taste in music.

MiceBlue's yummy STAX SR-207's.

being able to compare the HD600 and HD650.

the kindness and generosity of all the Head FIers.

the nice folks we set up next to (whose names i more than likely have forgotten or forgot to ask.)

disappointment:

have yet to hear a planer magnetic that does it for me (though i didn't get the chance to hear all that were present.)

methinks i just don't like orthos (except for Stan's!

)

Mrs. Forbin now wants STAX too, win-win!

This rocked my world. Going old school with Doc's AK1000 and his private collection 2nd gen studio master recording..  I've never heard a headphone setup offer so much realism and emotion as this, a real benchmark in my world.

Driven via Triode amp

Bottlehead "Mainline" amp sounded great with my Grado GS1000e
