Search is turned of at times to improve performance. This is a temporary measure as Head-Fi prepares for a hardware upgrade.

Someone has posted a workaround using the Google search engine, but I don't have the details. Sorry.

If you want to search Head-Fi using Google you can do the following:
  • go to Google
  • enter "site:www.head-fi.org" (without the quotes) followed by your search criteria
  • enjoy!

This will allow you to search the contents that were recorded the last time google indexed the website, so new stuff won't be in there but it's an easy workaround for doing archive searches.

If/When we get the search back in order someone should write a find in this page script for mozilla.
