I have a t50rp with some holes I would like to fill and paint over. Since its closed headphone I'm afraid that using clay or putty wall filler might change the sonic characteristics since holes are only on one side due to a jack before.

As long as the holes you are filling are small, and you are using a reasonable material, there shouldn't be a perceptible difference. Indeed, much less than having one side with a compromised seal.

Using something of the density of Blue Tak is generally okay, and use a smart amount- just enough to get a good seal. Using a kilo of Plasticised depleted uranium, not so great. That sort of thing.
