Awesome! What light source did you use to get the effect?
and last but not least Happy Birthday.

That's an LED Littlelite on the red setting.

And thanks for the birthday greetings!

Gorgeous! Seriously top-notch source there!
Now get some HD650s, they just love vinyl

Thanks!

I already had a pair of 650's, and they were great, but my current obsession is the Beyerdynamic DT-880's.

I will be ordering a pair of custom 600 ohm 880's in the next couple of days.

If it wasn't a birthday present, it should have been. Awesome beauty. Is the sound as good as they say? Any comparos?

Oh, happy birthday. I am jealous.

Not to intrude on the op's topic, but having heard a scoutmaster myself, the sound is definitely as good as they say

Around the $2K mark, you can get really killer sound from a TT.

No, it wasn't a birthday present, I've had it a couple of months now.

The sound is spectacular!

Good digital is good, but good analog trumps!

You said it!

Now this one is a bit more that $2k, but it's baby brother, the Scout is really great and goes for around $1600 or so. But don't forget you'll need a phono stage also.

I've added a couple of options, you can see the TNT Center weight, and if you look closely you can see the periphery ring clamp stowed under the TT.
