Wow, that is great write up. I agree about his thoughts on Oban I think jackson underated it. I was planning on picking up a bottle of Laphroaig in the next few days, I will be definately doing that now after reading his impressions.

I've been working on a bottle of Balvenie 21 that I've been enjoying a lot.

Still, Oban has been a longtime standby for me. I've enjoyed it for years and always keep a bottle around.

i'm no afficionado but... i first started with johnnie walker red. then tried black and can't go back to red. my wife bought me a bottle of gold - save that for special occasions. haven't ponied up for blue but one day. it's just amazing how age really smooths it out and enrichens the taste of it.
