I already use the iFi Supanova cable with an upgraded fuse which makes a big difference compared to a standard power cable so I can imagine it will do the same for MIB. Is the resolution and bass greater on MIB? Soundstage the same?

Definitely! With regards to soundstage, MIB would be deeper and wider than A1. Resolution is easier to perceive especially in texture information while treble would be silky smooth and free of grain. As for bass, A1 is more upfront while MIB likes to keep it in the background while sounding deeper at the same time hence you will perceive A1 to have a slightly more commanding bass but it’s not as textured and positionally pin-pointed as MIB. Overall to me MIB’s presentation reveals more of what the room reverbs feels like during that time music was recorded

Hopefully this gives you an insight to how it would differ to your current system if you decided to upgrade

Looking at my setup now, I don't have anything left to upgrade. The only thing I can think of is getting the MIB module to replace the A1. Is it worth the upgrade? Any advantages with the MIB over the A1?
You should get in the queue for the Singularity board upgrade. I'd skip MIB.

Not as easy as to send Yggy overseas for that upgrade. Besides, MIB is an incredible sounding DAC that even I'm not sure how the Singularity would just outperform it in overall quality. Hopefully Singularity retains the MIB's incredibly liquid smooth yet very resolving sound at the same time

Don't have to send it in unless you want everything replaced. You can order the boards and do it yourself. No difference vs upgrading to MIB from OG, right?

I'll go farther-
I'd be shocked and thoroughly flummoxed if a Delta Sigma DAC bests a Yggdrasil r2r , whether thats an OG or an LiM or a MiB. I don't believe it lol.
No other D/S DAC does so how would this new one do it?

I guess some of us will find out later this year (yet I won't be one of them). Impressions/comparisons will be flooding in sometime after that.

I would be flummoxed that Schiit put themselves on a branch and sawed it off behind them given how much effort and marketing they put into MB - and the Byggy isn't arguably better.

Perhaps four years after Byggy, Schiit tosses all of the past overboard and decides FPGA is the proper choice. Would it be true, or an attempt to get more sales? All I know is my Gungnir 2 wipes the floor with my former Gungnir MB A1, and several earlier Yggy - so I'd give it a listen with an open mind.

DAC technology is a lot newer than pre-amps and amps, yet evolutionary developments continue with those. Given Schiits output to date, I won't bet against them.

Yes yes, I agree with most of that but - case in point is Gumby 2, which is multi-bit. If it was a D/S than I'd be recalibrating. Some even like Gumby 2 over Yggy OG!
Yes, Schiit rarely fails. Only one I really can think of is More is Less.
I expect it to be impressive and some people's favorite. I still doubt it will really replace multibit- isnt there a new multi-bit Yggy coming? That one will pique my interest more perhaps, but, then again- Yggy OG is an all-time favorite DAC and besting it will be no trivial matter.

I also admit that the pricing is a bit beyond my means. I'd have to sell and save to reach that >$3000 DAC Tier. And I guess if I ever did have the $3k+ for a DAC I'd go for a Denafrips Venus 15th most likely.

Sorry, guys, not trying to crap on anyone's parade and I HOPE it's fkn amazing to any of y'all that get one.

It is well over the A1 & A2 & LIM IMO.

I needed very favorable and not repeating ever financial events to happen to get my haul over the past 6 months (Schiit G2, Kara, Wotan & BMR Philharmonic). I may have an updated G2 board, better streamer, or headphone in my future, but not all 3. I too hope folks are happy with whatever G/Y they settle on.
