Ordered my Vali 3 Saturday and got it's shipping notice this morning. Schiit shipping must of had a busy weekend. Thinking this little bugger might be great for all my Sennheiser HP's. Should be an interesting week :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Same here, ordered Saturday am, tracking number this am.

Is this only a cosmetic update over the previous version?

No, go read Jason Stoddard's latest chapter in the Schiit thread. He goes into quite a bit of detail about what he did to create Vali 3.

I can't get past the lengths of his creative writing. There's too much fat in his prose, and not enough meat.

I think the biggest difference is the voltage on the internal rails. went from 60V to 100V. I can't say I completely understand beyond "more is better".

I also struggle with the length of Jason's posts.. It's not a criticism of Jason, I realize this is a me problem.

I have not owned another vali, but my vali 3 should get here tomorrow afternoon. I’m quite excited to hear it again, since my initial impressions from the Canjam NYC showfloor were a bit hindered from the noise in the room on Saturday.

Ordered it this morning, got a tracking number a couple of hours later. I have the original Vali, which I like a lot, so it will be interesting to compare the two.

Arrived today, 4 hours in... tasted with Solaris 2020 first, running using preout on the desktop speakers (Kanto TUK). Compared to 'Piety',-'Vali' has that nice clean bite, a suddle lift, more on the neutral presentation, holographic, airy instrument placement.

Tube rolling within a couple weeks... 1950s GE 5670 5-STAR 3 Mica Black plate & mix of 6 (Philips, Hit Ray, Fleetwood, Sylvania, Westinhousing, GE) 6CG7 / 6FQ7 tubes on the way.
