V3 in the house! Haven't listened enough to form lasting opinions but my initial impressions are very very positive. As much as I like the Vali 3, this is significantly better in many ways. I'll check back in next week with more detailed thoughts. :o2smile:
Awesome dude. Enjoy. :)

I'm looking forward to a similar comparison myself. I ordered a mimir and Valhalla 3 on Sunday and I'm looking forward to comparing it to my vali 2. One will stay at home and the other will go to my office and replace a fulla e. At this point, I listen more at the office than at home, so there's a chance the big headphone rig will stay there

A little surprised that there are no official reviews yet. Please post if you see one.
Agreed. Don't they usually deliver advance devices for reviews to coincide with launch? Maybe there's enough demand not to bother? Or...a conspiracy!

Here is a link to a reviewer with a sense of humor!

https://www.ecoustics.com/products/schiit-valhalla-3/
That seemed more like a product overview than a review. Not much on the sonics, the gear used, or comparisons to other amps. I'll take user impressions over mass online reviewers any day, the content is far superior IMO. He is a good writer though. Just needs to work on the content, unless the objective was just to regurgitate the info from the Schiit website.

Yeah there are a few legit reviewers out there... but I don't think you'll ever get the 100% HONEST types of impressions you'll get in forums like this from actual buyers of the products with our money. Because we don't have any skin in the game. When I talk about HP's or gear I give the positives and negatives if there are any. No Fanboy here 🤷🏻

It will take adapters, probably not dual 6J5 adapters unless you’re really creative..Deyan’s 6SN7 adapters work well…this thing is smaller than you think..and gets HOT..so far, sounds great, similar to MJ2 to my ears..

Hmmmm. What device were your Deyan adapters originally for?

... what makes a review "official"? And does that classification bestow authority? I place the highest value on the comments, experience, observations of those who 'plunked down' their own hard-earned 'moolah' on a piece of audio gear.

I certainly appreciate the comments from the masses here and some of them are quite useful in helping me to form an opinion about how some piece of gear might sound/perform. But to be fair, these is also a lot of noise here as well. Meaning, many pages of comments that are not helpful to helping those of us who might buy this amp to form an opinion and idea of whether we should or should not buy it.

Some members who are articulate enough to write a don't decide not to do so. Even though there are inherent fault's with the "official" reviews, I can read them with an understanding of the reviewers preferences an make a reasonably informed decision as to whether I should spend the money. While I don't always agree with said reviewers preferences, if I've been reading what he, or she, writes and understand how he has rated other amps, then I'm usually comfortable in making my own decision from there. That's just my take.
