That peaked my interest as well when Jason described it as such almost a year ago. Many of us have been waiting a long time to find out for ourselves. My unit is arriving on Sunday* (provided FedEx feels like it), so I don't have much longer to wait. From the Schiit website, this is what really peaked my interest:
Valhalla 3 sounds a bit like Folkvangr.
It is. Folkvangr, an insane 10-tube special edition amp we made a few years back, was the proving ground for Valhalla 3. Folkvangr has been a good, solid amp; now we’re bringing those ideas to a more desktop-friendly and more wallet-friendly amp.
If you ever heard the Folkvangr, you'll understand.
So if someone have the FV, it's kinda useless to have the Valhalla 3 ?From the Schiit website, this is what really peaked my interest:

I have a Folkvangr in my desk setup and VH3 will be in my bedside table stack...So if someone have the FV, it's kinda useless to have the Valhalla 3 ?
I love the Echo 2, because it's quiet, has fine and subtle definition, and the bass is nimble. I like the BCH w/ the speedball a lot more than w/o. If the V3 is very tubey than its liable to be fairly different. The cost and impedance multiplier makes the V3 an interesting item.Well if performance is the same at nearly half the price absolutely! Is the Bottlehead Crack really the best OTL tube amp out there? I haven't heard almost anything negative about it and it's fairly cheap.I love the Echo 2, because it's quiet, has fine and subtle definition, and the bass is nimble. No. I prefer the Echo 2 by a good amount, but it is cheap and good.Is the Bottlehead Crack really the best OTL tube amp out there? I haven't heard almost anything negative about it and it's fairly cheap.

I prefer the Eufonika H5-KPCU to both by quite a margin. 6SN7 driver, 6AS7/6080 output, but can roll so much more. Separate choke power supply for each tube section for moderate cost. Quiet, detailed and rich. Check the big Eufonika thread for more: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/eufonika-valve-amps-from-poland.909833/No. I prefer the Echo 2 by a good amount, but it is cheap and good.
I had the BHC with Speedball going back some years now and it's a nice "Entry" type of OTL to dip your feet into the OTL waters. Def better options out there thoughIs the Bottlehead Crack really the best OTL tube amp out there? I haven't heard almost anything negative about it and it's fairly cheap.
