Schiit Magni 3/Modi Multibit vs Audio-GD R2R 11

Well all I know is that the Multibit is a resistor ladder dac just like the R2R-11 and I don't think they differ so much, the amp is where the difference lies. The R2R-11 has a slightly more powerful amp (9.48 Vrms vs 8 Vrms of the Magni 3) and the R2R-11's sound can be changed via a bunch of jumpers inside whereas with the Schiit what you see is what you get since there's no op-amps in the Schiit so there's no op-amp rolling.

Amp-wise I’ve had both and they did’nt sound all that different. The R2R is the more powerful amp and could easily drive my ZMFs...the Magni didn’t sound all that great with them IMO.

Powerful? Is Magni 3 clearly more powerful than NFB 11.28 and R2R 11, or are you referring to earlier versions or sound quality?

More on SQ...I rarely lookup specs on amps - I have to listen to them. I guess the “feeling” of power. Don’t get me wrong, I thought the Magni was great. My ZMFs just sounded better on the R2R to me.

I thought my Audezes sounded great through the Magni however.
