They absolutely love that it seems… on standalone units it’s not that problematic to me, but if I had a stack of their gear I’d hate the power switches on the back
If the switch on the back is really a problem (and I can totally see why) one option is to get one of these in-line power switches, so you can leave the switch on the back on.
Am currently running the LYR+ w/2x RCA 6J5. The Schiit handles the [hard-to-drive] Diana TC quite capably: ample soundstage, nice dynamic punch, excellent separation and, of course, musical.
I continue to be [very] impressed by this unassuming little amp!
My Lyr+ started making a loud static noise in the left channel. Reading this thread, it appears it's a fairly common problem. Is my only solution to send it in for repairs? And any idea what the repair cost is? I'm in Europe, if this is too expensive I might as well toss it and take the loss (and stop buying Schiit products..).

To be fair, they don’t charge much for repairs.. in most cases maybe $50-100, typically no more. The bigger cost is the shipping. It usually does make sense to repair plus it’s a fantastic piece of audio gear. I actually really miss mine dearly despite having upgraded to something much more costly..

OK, Lyr+ owners, I almost pulled the trigger on a Jotunheim 2, but as nearly all of my listening is near-field and I tend to listen at low volumes, I'm thinking the Lyr+ with its much greater volume control may be better. Of course, the fact that it is a better amp according to most also factors in. What are your thoughts on low volume listening. It sounds as if there is a lot of what I'd call micro adjustment up to 12 o'clock. Any people out there who don't blast it who are enjoying it for that fact? I am genuinely curious. Having two inputs, it handles my needs, which are really just DAC and phono.
The fact that I can also play around with tubes to slightly alter the sound helps, too, but mostly I am looking at it because of the low gain issue. I really can't even listen to my Vali 2 at 9 o'clock in my system. I'm sitting here listening to my Heretic at 10 o'clock on low gain...
