Borrowing a friends old Lyr. I guess back when they were still hand soldered. It still sounds sweet accept it has developed a background hum. Not really a standard AC hum but just noise. Friend says it just came on in the last year. Basically only feels like he can listen to super insensitive can's on it. Schiit has decided to blame his power rather than point him to someone that could fix it. He has tried different tubes to validate that isn't it. I feel like if you are gonna by a big old hunk of American made metal like the new Lyr 3 for $500 the thing should last a very long time and certainly be repairable. Part of why I bought my Asgard instead of a more integrated cheaper solution.

Anyone had this happen or know of a good electronics shop that would take a repair request? I mean the music sounds great out of it still. But it is just slightly hard to listen with the background noise.
