You got the real secret for good asparagus? Mine never get cooked long enough to actually be soft, before my oil or butter burn or get too hot.Time to fire up the grill

Black bears in California come in all colors from dead black to almost blond. What they lack is the ferocity and shoulder hump of grizzly. I've also come around corners and run smack into black bears and every time I am grateful that we don't have grizz in Cali.Whatever it was, it was big, dark brown, and a bear.
(Could have been black, but looked dark brown in the late morning sun.)
Sounds like the average head-fi'er, doesn't it?Whatever it was, it was big, dark brown, and a bear.
OK, everyone, open a browser, go to google.com and search for "dutch angle"

salt,
pepper.
We like them a bit on the crunchy side so about two minutes then turn 'em for another two on a medium/hot grill with the lid open.
That's it.

Yeah! Open reel tapes for the win!I have not had them. I like what I'm seeing, though, and they have very cool bottles.
One album I got was this one from jazz outfit Work Money Death. Absolutely tip-top spiritual jazz at its finest.
And if somebody really wanted to go whole-hog on it, the band is offering up direct-from-master copies on tape for a paltry sum.

Only problem is you're pointing that at Mojito instead of Folkvangr.See? It’s a real mini-Folkvangr through and through.

I think that you are measuring the feline's body temperature.See? It’s a real mini-Folkvangr through and through.

That description makes me think of the Folkvangr for sure, seems the moniker of Mini Folkvangr for the Valhalla 3 is well deserved! The VH3 just sounds relaxed, easy, and unstrained while delivering a spacious soundstage with air and seemingly precise instrument location (I wasn't there when recorded so I cannot say with certainty.). Bass is nice and extended yet controlled at highest gain (no feedback).

Very good sipping gin. Not to disparage your chosen method of imbibing, just that not all gins are good sippers.Shall we talk gin? The Botanist, anyone?
Edit to add to @Ableza's mention of American Single Malt: Westward is good, Westland is better, and the now-sadly-defunct Wanderback was best.
Wanderback out of Hood River didn't survive the pandemic but they made the best ASM I've had yet. I will miss them for a long time.

Like many, I prefer my steak smoked/reverse-seared on a charcoal grill but I also will happily cook on a cast iron pan. Who cares if I set off the smoke alarm while building a nice, thick crust?Steaks’ll have to be on the cast iron grill pan on the induction cooktop
Edit - @golfbravobravo 1. Safe travels 2. Ms. Jody is a wonderful writer. 3. Good luck in your new life on the left coast.

@ArmchairPhilosopher, I'm seeing Forkbeard questions on other forum sites. Much confusion. Mainly, if you don't order a Forkbeard module with a DAC purchase, are the Forkbeard features/software still installed on the DAC? Confusion about Forkbeard running in the background, even without the module? Basically, is it somehow hurting the DACs performance, even if you don't have a module connected?
Don't shot the messenger, just hoping to clear up confusion...!

If you don't have Forkbeard, Mimir is just a DAC. No bits are harmed in the making of your music.@ArmchairPhilosopher, I'm seeing Forkbeard questions on other forum sites. Much confusion. (Same applies if you do have Forkbeard but set volume to 100%, balance to center, and pEQ mode to flat.)
The FB-enabled features are baked into Mimir's firmware, not the Forkbeard module, but lie dormant without the module.
